James Webb VA-SEN and  Harold Ford Jr TEN-SEN. are our best bets for picking up  southern Senate seats this
fall.

James Webb will debate George Allan on Meet the Press Sunday Sep 17. Ford's opponent, Bob Corker has turned down an invitation by NBC to debate Harold Ford on Meet the Press. Both of these men are strong on national defense and fit in well with the constituents of their states.

The WSJ/Zogby poll just out today shows Webb out in front by 7.5%  WOW! This poll was taken before the commercials Webb started airing concerning his time as Ronald Reagan's Secretary of the Navy. Webb was the SecNav when I was serving. 'Reagan Democrats' are going to love this ad

Rep. Ford is trailing by just 2.7%, that's within the margin of error. Let's go Tennessee Democrats! Let's keep the pressure on Corker for ducking debates. Harold Ford Jr. is on top of the current events around the world and does not waste any time putting up ads about his strengths.

More numbers on the Ford v Corker race from SurveyUSA. This poll has Ford up by 3 points but within the 4% MOE
45% Corker (R)
48% Ford (D)
1% Other
6% Undecided
