I'm not a big country fan or anything. Garth Brooks is about the only country music I listen to. My wife and daughter listen to country quite often. For some reason, people seem to think that all country singers are republicans.

AJC.COM picked up an AP story about Tim McGraw which references a Time magazine article to be released Oct 23 in which McGraw calls himself "a true Southern populist kind of Democrat".
McGraw states... "The issues that matter to me are the social safety nets for people, health care, middle-class concerns. We need to take care of the middle class and the poor in our country. The chasm is getting larger between haves and have-nots, and that's something we need to close down a little bit"
